HOW TO PLAY
HOW TO PLAY

Empty your hand. Don’t be the last holding cards.

TAHEET uses a full 52-card deck with 2 to 13 players. The deck is shuffled and fully dealt; hand sizes stay as even as possible, but suits are not balanced.

When you reach zero cards, you finish and count as a Stage winner. Play continues until only one player is left holding cards; that player is the sole loser. If several players finish in the same trick, their final-card play order decides the finishing order.

Finish your cards to win. The only loser is the last player left holding cards.

THE OPENING
THE OPENING

A♠ starts the game.

At the start of each Stage, whoever holds A♠ takes the first turn. The opening move must be A♠ itself; no other card can begin the Stage.

After A♠ is played, Spades is the lead suit. Play moves to the player on your right and continues counterclockwise around the table. On later tricks, the leader normally chooses the opening card.

The Host and seat number do not choose the opener — A♠ does.

YOUR TURN
YOUR TURN

Follow the suit if you can.

The first card in a trick sets the lead suit. If you hold that suit, you must play one of those cards. You may choose any rank you hold in that suit.

If you have none of the lead suit, any card in your hand is legal. The first off-suit card triggers TAHEET immediately, and the trick ends at that card.

Have the suit? Follow it. No suit? Any card is legal — and the off-suit play triggers TAHEET.

THE TRICK
THE TRICK

The highest card of the lead suit wins.

Ranks run from 2 up to A, with A highest. Only cards in the lead suit are compared. A card from another suit never beats them; it triggers TAHEET instead.

If TAHEET happens, the player holding the highest lead-suit card takes every card on the table back into their hand. If everyone follows suit and the trick completes, the cards Burn and leave play.

Only the lead suit is ranked. A is highest; 2 is lowest.

SPECIAL MOMENTS
SPECIAL MOMENTS

TAHEET brings cards back. Burn clears them away.

TAHEET happens on the first off-suit card and stops the trick immediately. The player with the highest lead-suit card takes the entire table pile, including the off-suit card, back into their hand.

Burn happens when every expected player follows the lead suit and the trick completes cleanly. All cards from that trick are removed from play, and the player who played the highest card of the lead suit leads the next trick.

After Burn, the player who played the highest card on the table starts the next trick.

WHEN AVAILABLE
WHEN AVAILABLE

Request Cards works only in Lounge play.

Request Cards appears only while at least three active players remain. You may ask only the nearest active player on your left or the nearest active player on your right; finished players are skipped.

If the request is accepted, every remaining card in that player’s hand moves to you at once. The donor reaches zero cards and finishes as a Stage winner. A human may decline; an adjacent computer-controlled rival accepts automatically.

If the donor had the current turn, you take that turn only if you have not already played in the trick. You can never play twice in one trick.

The walkthrough will show the flow in context: A♠ opens, turns move to the right, players follow suit when they can, TAHEET stops a trick on the first off-suit card, Burn clears a completed trick, and Request Cards appears when Lounge conditions allow it.

QUICK ANSWERS

TAHEET rules at a glance

Clear answers to the questions new players ask before joining a table.

What is TAHEET?

TAHEET is an online multiplayer card game played with a standard 52-card deck by 2–13 players. Finish your cards before the others; the sole last player still holding cards loses the Stage.

Who starts every TAHEET Stage?

The player holding A♠ always takes the first turn, and the first play of the Stage must be A♠ only.

Which direction does play move?

Turns move to the player on the right, counterclockwise around the table.

What if I cannot follow the lead suit?

If you have none of the lead suit, any card is legal. The first off-suit card triggers TAHEET immediately, ends the trick, and the highest lead-suit player takes all trick cards back into their hand.

What is Burn?

If every expected participant follows the lead suit and the trick completes without TAHEET, the trick Burns and its cards leave play. The highest lead-suit player starts the next trick.

Can I practice before a real match?

Yes. TAHEET has a separate Practice table for learning the flow before joining real rooms. Practice remains separate from real rooms, coins, rankings, and player statistics.
